organizational transformation, national and global crises and the creation
of just, vibrant, sustainable cultures. |

| Why Conversation Cafés?
Because when you put strangers, caffeine and ideas in the same room,
brilliant things can happen. For that very reason, the British Parliament
banned coffeehouses in the 1700s as hotbeds of sedition. Might we brew up
a similar social liveliness now? Conversation Café facilitates discussion
groups in coffee houses all over the country. |

seek to transform conflict - change the form of conflict - from bitter
arguments and power contests into dialogue and democracy with a We the
People Conference scheduled for 2006 (followed by a larger event in 2008).
These conferences will be three day civic dialogue events bridging the

an initiative of the Rural Southern Voice for Peace offering an exciting
new, heart-centered approach to community organizing, grassroots

deep listening to break down walls and barriers that separate and

a wide range of justice, peace and environmental issues, throughout the

exists in a number of key foreign policy areas and by facilitating
constructive, non-partisan dialogue on more controversial issues. The
series will take place over the first hundred days of the new Bush
presidency from late January through the end of April. |
